Power outages in the system

Spørgsmål

Hello,

I have an ELKO LS visual 2 / viewer controller in my home. Installed in 2010. Power supply 72W. All slots are filled with modules. In addition, 8 modules for 1-10V lighting control are connected wirelessly to the controller.

For several years, there have been occasional short power outages.

I thought they were caused by the power grid.

But now they have started to occur every day, usually in the evenings. The outages are very short, less than a second, but there can be several of them, sometimes in succession.

I have concluded that reducing the wireless lighting will stop the outages.

The outages do not affect all output units.

Has anyone else experienced similar outages?

Does anyone have any idea if it could be caused by the input units or the wireless system?

Could it be caused by the power supply?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The voltage is 18.25V.

That is too low. It needs to be 24VDC. A little lower is also ok, but 18.25 is too low.

Low voltage is often a sign that the power supply is over loaded, but can also be a sign that the power supply is on it's last leg.

It is possible to have 2 parallel power supplies, but then you will have to replace some of the wires if you are using the link-10 cable, as it's only rated for 3A (3A*24VDC=72W). A better solution is to split the installation, so half is power by each power supply. Make sure that the 0V is connected between the 2 powers supplies so you have the same 0V level.
